Located on the ‘Western Ridge’ of the Barossa Valley, Seppeltsfield is a multi-award winning, tourism destination in the heart of the Barossa.  The estate has been recognised in the top 50 vineyards globally, is an Australian Tourism Award winning business, and was inducted into the South Australian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame in 2021.

The Seppeltsfield Team Member will provide tasting with customers in cellar door, conduct tours through our historic cellars, and serve guests at private functions. The role will be an ambassador of the brand, through delivering an outstanding level of service and experience when hosting visitors and sharing knowledge. The purpose of the role is to achieve wine sales through dealing an exceptional customer experience through delivering a high standard of service and wine education.

Applicants will require exemplary customer service skills, coupled with experience in the hospitality sector and/or wine industry. Additionally, you will be a team player, with excellent communication skills and a positive and vibrant approach, with the flexibility to work over a 7 day roster including weekends and public holidays.

Seppeltsfield Cellar Door – Retail Sales, Hospitality and Events Team Members

Permanent full-time and part-time positions available

Tasks include:

– Delivering exceptional customer service to Seppeltsfield visitors through establishing rapport with guests to provide memorable experiences Hosting wine tastings, tours and processing sales

– Supporting private experiences, tours, events and functions by assisting with set up, hosting, and pack down

– Providing prompt, professional and friendly service to customers

– Maintaining the presentation of the function areas, the café and cellar door area through daily tasks including cleaning and restocking

– Set up and assist with the delivery of group experiences in private areas

– Contribute to the achievement of sales revenue targets through executing sales promotions and implementing sales tactics to achieve sales of wine

– Communicate product and brand information to guests

– Previous experience in a cellar door or similar wine service experience is essential

Seppeltsfield Cafe – Cafe Supervisor

Permanent full-time or part position available

The role of the Café Supervisor provides service to customers at the café and supervises Food and Beverage Assistants. The role will be an ambassador of the brand, through delivering an outstanding level of service and experience when serving visitors.

Tasks include:

– Working with the Head of Retail Sales, Hospitality and Events to plan menus.

– Ordering, general pantry and stock management duties.

– Assisting in the training and supervision of food and beverage assistants.

– General food preparation, assembly and basic cooking duties.

– Taking enquiries and managing bookings.

– Undertaking general waiting duties for both food and beverages, including setting up, packing down and cleaning tables.

– Supplying, dispensing and/or making beverages, including wine.

– Greeting and serving customers, taking orders, receiving money and providing products.

– General cleaning duties within the café area to maintain food safety, including the food preparation area, cooking and general utensils.

We are looking for someone with some similar experience, excellent communication skills, a positive and vibrant approach, have their RSA and be an RP badge-holder (or be willing to apply for one). The café opening hours are 10am to 3pm on weekdays and 10am to 4pm on weekends. We are open to a permanent full time or part time position, to suit the right candidate.
